Availability and Licensing

Chanticleer Productions, LLP currently licenses A BROADWAY CHRISTMAS CAROL to all theatres. Licenses are generally regional exclusive licenses, which usually do not exceed 50 miles.

Licenses are granted on a first-come, first-serve basis, however Chanticleer Productions, LLP reserves the right to revoke any license up to 120 days prior to the first date of production if a more remunerative offer is received within a licensed market. Original production licensee may have the opportunity to match and/or counter any new offer.

License preference within individual markets is as follows: Commercial, AEA LORT (or equivalent), AEA SPT (or equivalent), AEA LOA, Non-Equity Professional Non-Profit, Non-Professional. Preference will further be given to theatres who have previously licensed the production.

For more information on Professional vs. Non-Professional status, please read our Definitions.

Production Availability

Available in all cities and metro areas, however, rights are currently restricted for the following markets:
New York City
Los Angeles
Washington, D.C.

Interested parties in these markets should send a letter of inquiry, available on the CONTACT US page. Please specify type of theatre and proposed length of run. Preference to Commercial or Non-Profit AEA in these markets.

Rights may be available in certain non-U.S. markets, however, licensing is on a case-by-case basis. If parody laws in another country do not closely align with U.S. law, it is highly unlikely that we would be able to license a production. Please contact us, if interested, and provide as much information as necessary.
